2006 Player Of The Year

Jamie Jones - In the first official season of Midland Beer Die, Jamie Jones proved to be a dominant force winning back to back titles after finishing 3rd in the Midland Invitational. J.J. teamed with Mif to finish in the top three of each major tournament of the season. His total of 181 points puts him atop the all time list. Jamie's 40 cups hit led all competitors and his 13 sinks were second only to KO. During the Michael Myers Massacre in October, J.J. set the all time record with 9 sinks in one tournament. Congratulations to Jamie Jones on winning the 2006 Player of the Year Award!

2006 Michael Myers Massacre (Results)

If Paul Pierce is the 'Truth' then Jamie Jones has become the 'Undeniable Truth.' JJ made yet another tournament his personal showcase on Sat. night as he sunk a record 9 shots in one tournament and helped carry his team to their second straight title. In the Championship game, however, it was JJ's teammate MIF who brought them back from the dead against Team Fever, sinking a walk-off to wrap up the Michael Myers Massacre...

2006 Fall Classic (Results)

The second major tournament of the beer-die season did not go without some controversy. JJ & MIF turned out victorious, but how they got there became an issue that left a bad taste in the mouths of many participants. Deez & Pablo were knocked out in the round of eight after finishing 4-0 in the round-robin portion. Tough break for a team that thought they were going to recieve a 1st round bye. JJ & MIF took advantage in squeeking past team 'Fever' in the semi-finals and wrapping up the title. JJ is the new overall points leader thanks in part to a remarkable 28 cups hit through two major tournaments.
1st Place -- Team Hardware (JJ & Mif)
2nd Place -- Team Hooters (Meyers & Woj.)
3rd Place -- Team Fever (K.O. & K.G.)

2006 Midland Invitational (Results)

You couldn't come any closer to goin 2 & out...down 5-2 in the second game before goin on a 22-0 run and absolutely taking over the tournament, including beating KO & Bri-G twice in the finals...Murdz proved why he's got the H.O.F. background & Sauce got his 'toss' banned in future tourneys...regardless, they take home the first ever Midland Title...Congrats!!!
