Tournament Format

It will be set up as a round robin, where every team will play each other. Therefore, each team is guaranteed 6 games. The top 3 teams advance to the championship round. The team with the best overall record earns an automatic bid into the championship game, and the 2nd and 3rd place teams will play to see who plays the 1st place team.

In case of a two way tie for 3rd place...a play-in game will be held...no tiebreaker rule...In case of a three way tie for 3rd place...we will go to the head-2-head tiebreaker...

This rule will go for first and second place as well.
For example:
if there is a tie for first and second place, the two first place teams will play and the two second place teams will play. The winner of the first place teams will get the bye and the loser will be the second seed. At the same time, the two second place teams will play with the winner becoming the third seed and the loser out of the tourney. From there the second and third seeds will play to determine who faces the # 1 seed in the championship game.
Please note, in the event of a 3 way tie for first, the seeds will be determined by Margin of Victory. This goes for the second and third seeds as well.
Please direct any questions to Heavy prior to the start of the tournament.
